SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 100/mt over the past week to NTD 8,600-9,000/mt ($277-290/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained unchanged over the past week at NTD 32,500-35,000/mt ($1,046-1,126/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for middle and late August shipments.
