The week after the Feast of Sacrifice holiday has started with no fresh transactions for the imported scrap reported in the Turkish market. However, SteelOrbis has been informed of an ex-UK deal closed on August 9 for 25,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $280/mt CFR with a steel producer from Turkey’s Marmara region. The cargo will be shipped at the end of the month. The price in the sale is in line with the most recent transaction closed last week with a Belgian scrap supplier.
