SteelOrbis has heard that the current offers for 1008 grade 6.5-8 mm wire rod in the local Turkish market are as presented below. Turkish mills have continued to raise their local sales prices, due to strong raw material and semi-finished product prices. With the difficulty as regards wire rod supply in the southern region of Turkey still observed, some end-users in this region have continued to make purchases from other regions. Meanwhile, it is also reported that some mills located in Turkey's Marmara Region will start to produce rebar instead of wire rod in the coming days.
