Wire rod prices in the local Taiwanese steel market are at the following levels:

The above prices include five percent VAT, are for delivery to customer and are also for middle and end of December shipments. The prices for low carbon grade wire rod and low alloyed grade plate have decreased by NTD 400/mt ($13/mt) since last week, while the prices of medium and high carbon grade plates have also declined by NTD 600/mt ($19/mt) in the same period.
