Wire rod export prices stable in Brazil

Brazilian producers are exporting wire rod of the mesh grade at $524/mt, while the drawing grade is exported at $540/mt, both FOB conditions, reflecting a stable price for two months, according to a local exporter.
 
In September, the country’s exports of the product reached 19,200 mt, against 52,100 mt in August, reflecting reductions by the major producers Gerdau and ArcelorMittal.
 
ArcelorMittal exported wire rod in September in average at $490/mt and Gerdau at $461/mt, FOB conditions, for price deals probably closed in July.
 
In the Brazilian domestic market, small tonnages of wire rod of the mesh grade is sold at the equivalent to $720/mt and the drawing grade at $805/mt, ex-works, no taxes included.
