SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that mesh quality wire rod prices in the UAE domestic market are in the range of $590-600/mt delivered to customer.
As for imports in the UAE, ex-Turkey wire rod offers are standing at the levels of $610-620/mt CFR, while wire rod offers from China to the UAE are in the range of $580-590/mt CFR.
Market players state that due to the more acceptable local prices in the UAE as compared to import offers and the greater ease in obtaining local supplies, import offers are not in a position to compete with local offers.
