Despite several offshore sources to choose from in the US import rebar market, offer prices continue to trend close together, and competition among sources has not led to lower prices for now. Sources attribute the stable price trend to not-quite-robust demand, along with ongoing uncertainty about tariffs and an import situation that could change “in an instant.”

US import rebar offer prices from Bulgaria and Portugal are still ranging from $34.00-$34.50 cwt. ($750-$761/mt or $680-$690/nt) DDP loaded truck at US Gulf ports. Additionally, import rebar offers to the US from Spain remain around $35.00 cwt. ($772/mt or $700/nt) DDP loaded truck at US Gulf ports, while rebar offers to the US from Italy remain around $34.50 cwt. ($761/mt or $690/nt) DDP loaded truck at US Gulf ports.
