This week, demand in the local Turkish wire rod market is still slack, while prices have remained unchanged over the past week. Meanwhile, buyers continue to exert downward pressure on prices. Market players state that buyers sometimes make firm bids at levels as low as $310/mt, but it is impossible for producers to meet such price requests. Accordingly, trading activity in the market has slowed down significantly.
