Demand for Turkish wire rod in the export markets has remained slack during the past week, while Turkish wire rod export offers have moved sideways week on week at $400-420/mt FOB.

Market sources state that Turkish wire rod export prices may increase in the coming period due to the rises seen both in import scrap prices and Turkish rebar quotations. On the other hand, foreign buyers have pointed out that demand for Turkish wire rod is currently at low levels, while they said they believe any increase in Turkish wire rod export offers may cause demand to decline further.
