During the past week, demand for Turkish wire rod in the export markets has remained at low levels. Meanwhile, Turkish wire rod export offers have increased by $12.5/mt to $395-420/mt FOB with the support of the rises seen in import scrap and billet quotations since the beginning of October. On the other hand, market sources state that buyers are resisting the higher Turkish wire rod export prices, with the upper end of offers failing to gain acceptance from buyers.
