Today, February 10, spot prices in the Turkish domestic rebar market have risen by TRY 20-30/mt ($5-7/mt), after the rebound seen in the import scrap segment. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are at TRY 4,940-4,950/mt or $593-594/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar price by TRY 80/mt to TRY 4,960/mt ($595/mt) ex-works today. One Marmara-based mill is currently offering rebar at TRY 5,040 ($605/mt) ex-works.
Sources report that around 10,000 mt of rebar were traded in the Marmara region yesterday at TRY 4,915-4,955/mt ($590-595/mt) ex-works, while a small tonnage was also traded at TRY 4,875/mt ($585/mt) ex-works in the same region.
Most mills in the Izmir region have opened their rebar sales at TRY 4,955/mt ($595/mt) ex-works today.
Sources report that around 20,000 mt of rebar were traded in the Izmir region at TRY 4,890/mt ($587/mt) ex-works yesterday. Moreover, around 10,000 mt of rebar were traded in the same region at TRY 4,915-4,955/mt ($590-595/mt) ex-works yesterday.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 5,050/mt ($606/mt) ex-works.
