Demand for Turkish mesh quality wire rod in the export markets has remained slack over the past week. Besides the slackness of demand, due to the softening in import scrap prices in Turkey and due to the competitive wire rod offers from CIS-based exporters, Turkish wire rod export offers have decreased by $15/mt on the upper end week on week to $400-405/mt FOB.
