SteelOrbis has heard that Turkish rolling mills are offering merchant bars for export at around $540-560/mt FOB St on actual weight basis for December shipments. Although the Euro/US Dollar exchange rate is at 1.28, the demand for Turkish merchant bars from
Europe is not great. Only the
UK and
Ireland are showing a strong interest in Turkish merchant bars, while the demand from other regions is not so good.
