Turkish domestic wire rod prices increase as week ends

Today, November 27, Turkish mills have hiked their domestic wire rod prices on US dollar basis by $15-32.5/mt as compared to Tuesday, November 24, amid stronger import scrap prices. In addition, the very tight wire rod supply allocation due to ongoing maintenance works at one Turkish mill has been reflected in a significant hike in price. Most mills are offering material for late February-March delivery.

Local Turkish wire rod buyers are maintaining a wait-and-see stance and continue to purchase just in line with their daily needs.
