Turkish domestic wire rod prices fall by up to $15/mt

The downward trend in the import scrap segment and weak trading activity have led to sharp falls in wire rod prices in Turkey. Domestic buyers have been purchasing only in line with their daily needs, while some prefer to refrain from purchases due to lack of orders on the end-user side. Some Turkish mills have been carrying out maintenance works, mainly on the rebar rolling side, while most of the wire rod suppliers are continuing production with no official announcements of possible stoppages.

Currently, the local offers for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:
