Today, January 6, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 200-350/mt ($9-17/mt), amid higher import scrap prices and currrency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 15,950-16,000/mt or $720-722/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has kept its official rebar price by at $730/mt ex-works today. Most Marmara-based and Izmir-based mills are offering rebar at $730/mt ex-works today.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy has opened its rebar sales at TRY 16,000/mt, equal to $722/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. In addition, two mills in the same region are offering rebar at TRY 16,200/mt ex-works, equal to $731/mt at the current exchange rate.
