Today, May 17, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 130-200/mt ($9-16/mt) compared to Tuesday May 11, amid currency fluctuations and the positive sentiment in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,270-7,330/mt or $736-742/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has increased its rebar price by $10/mt over the past week to $740/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate. In addition, most Marmara-based mills are offering rebar at $755-760/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate.
In the Izmir region, most mills are offering rebar at $740-750/mt ex-works today.
In the Iskenderun region, Bastug Metallurgy opened its rebar sales at TRY 7,400/mt ($749/mt) ex-works early this morning and closed them in the afternoon. Moreover, one re-roller in this region has opened its rebar sales at TRY 7,390/mt ($748/mt) ex-warehouse.
In the Karabuk region, Yolbulan A.S. has opened its rebar sales at TRY 7,350/mt ($744/mt) ex-works.
