Today, on June 15, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have risen by TRY 80-100/mt, while falling by $5-7/mt on US dollar basis, amid currency fluctuations and quiet demand. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,230-7,350/mt or $717-729/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has kept its rebar price at $730/mt ex-works today. Another mill in the Marmara region is currently offering rebar at $745/mt ex-works.
In the Izmir region, most mills are offering rebar at $720-730/mt ex-works. According to sources, some local traders restock in the Izmir area at TRY 7,265/mt ($720/mt) ex-works and resell in the Marmara region, thus preventing price increases. The average estimated transport cost from Izmir to Marmara is around TRY 80/mt.
