Today, October 15, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mainly increased by TRY 70-150/mt ($2-10/mt), while in the Karabuk region they are up by TRY 50/mt and stable on US dollar basis amid the rapid currency fluctuations and costlier scrap prices. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 8,100-8,170/mt or $744-750/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has increased its rebar price by $10/mt to $730/mt ex-works today, while the other mills in the Marmara region have started quoting official rebar prices at $740-750/mt ex-works on the same day.
One Izmir-based mill is offering rebar at $730/mt ex-works today. Sources report around 11,000 mt of rebar was traded at $720/mt in the region earlier today.
Turkish mills are expected to revise their rebar prices by the beginning of next week.
