Turkish domestic rebar spot prices increase in lira as the week ends

Today, September 17, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by TRY 50-130/mt in the local currency, with minor changes on US dollar basis, amid exchange rate fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 6,700-6,800/mt or $660-670/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.

Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions have kept their rebar prices at $660-680/mt ex-works including Icdas A.S.

The majority of the local producers are expected to revise their rebar prices early next week. In addition, the Turkish Central Bank interest rate announcement due on Thursday, September 23 is an important issue for the local rebar market price situation.

All prices are ex-warehouse and on actual weight basis. Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while prices on US dollar basis exclude VAT.
