Today, October 13, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have increased by another TRY 100-200/mt ($4-14/mt), against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and producers’ higher rebar prices. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 7,750-7,800/mt or $723-728/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.

Icdas has increased its rebar price by $15/mt to $715/mt ex-works today, while the other mills in the Marmara region have started quoting $725-735/mt ex-works, with slightly higher levels also available on the same day.

In the Izmir region, the general rebar price level is currently standing at $710-720/mt ex-works, while sources report that a sale of around 15,000 mt of rebar was concluded at $705/mt ex-works and around 5,000-10,000 mt of rebar were traded at $710/mt ex-works in the region earlier today.

In the Iskenderun region, one mill is offering rebar at TRY 7,900/mt ($737/mt) ex-works for mid-November delivery and one re-roller was offering rebar at TRY 8,000/mt ($747/mt) ex-warehouse for 8-10 mm sizes. Iskenderun-based local traders have increased their rebar spot prices amid the limited supply and size availability in the region.
