Today, March 27, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by TRY 100-250/mt ($6-13/mt) compared to Thursday, March 23 amid the negative sentiment in the import scrap and billet segments and the ongoing currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 16,250-16,450/mt or $721-730/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has cut its official rebar price by $10/mt to $740/mt ex-works today. Moreover, the official rebar price range in the Izmir and Marmara regions varies at $735-745/mt e-works, falling by $5/mt on the higher end over the same period. A few mills are attempting to keep their offers slightly above $745/mt ex-works due to limited stocks, though the general sentiment on the demand side does not appear to be supportive for now.
