Today, July 26, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by another TRY 400/mt ($19-20/mt), over the day following Icdas’s recent rebar price decrease and the negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 13,100-13,500/mt or $622-641/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas A.S. has decreased its official rebar price by another $20/mt to $660/mt ex-works today. Moreover, a few mill is still applying aggressive pricing policy. Sources report small tonnage of rebar were traded at $620-635/mt yesterday in the Izmir and Marmara region yesterday. Kardemir has opened its rebar sales at $659/mt ex-works, however this price seems a bit difficult to achieve for now.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt Metallurgy has opened its rebar sales at TRY 14,200/mt ($674/mt) ex-works today.
