Today, November 2, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have decreased by TRY 50-100/mt ($5-10/mt) amid sluggish demand and the relatively negative sentiment in the import scrap segment. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 8,300-8,380/mt or $738-745/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Mills’ rebar prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions are currently standing at $750/mt ex-works, including the price of Icdas A.S., while sources report that discounts of up to $10/mt are appliable for serious buyers. Local traders are in wait-and-see mode as they monitor the raw material price trend and the uncertain financial situation in Turkey.
