SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that this week steel billet prices in the Turkish domestic market have risen by $10/mt as compared to last week, reaching $530-540/mt ex-works. In the meantime, steel billet prices in the Iskenderun region, a major location for steel production in southern Turkey and a steel export hub especially for northern Iraq, are standing at $535-540/mt ex-works. Demand is at medium levels for the new prices, while steel billet booking activity is expected to get livelier this week.

On the other hand, ex-CIS steel billet offers to Turkey have increased by $5-10/mt since last week to $510-515/mt CFR.
