Turkey’s Kardemir raises its wire rod prices by $25/mt

Today, March 3, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has increased its dollar-based wire rod prices by $25/mt against the backdrop of costlier scrap and billet and currency fluctuations. Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is currently at $915/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $880/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $905/mt ex-works.

Wire rod prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
