Today, June 21, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has cut its wire rod prices by $15/mt compared to Thursday, June 8, amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and sluggish demand.
Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod stands at $660/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $645/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $665/mt ex-works.
Kardemir’s 6-27 mm wire rod price is on the lower end of the general official price range for the same specifications in Turkey which varied at $645-670/mt ex-works yesterday, June 20.
Wire rod prices exclude 18 percent VAT.
