Today, June 22, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have dropped by TRY 20-30/mt ($2-4/mt) compared to late last week to TRY 3,380-3,430/mt ($418-424/mt) ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Turkish mills mainly in the Izmir and Marmara regions have set their official rebar prices at TRY 3,470-3,490/mt ($429-431/mt) ex-works. Sources report that special discounts are applicable for serious buyers in order to generate sales.
Most buyers are on hold for new purchases and are waiting to have a clearer picture of the import scrap segment.
