Spanish producers have been offering Spanish origin 12 mm B500S rebar to the local market at around €590/mt ($863/mt) ex-works on actual weight basis with 30-day deferred payment, excluding VAT.

Despite the fact that the base prices announced by the producers in the local Spanish rebar market last week were at the level of €370/mt ($541/mt), it is still possible to see a base price as low as €350/mt ($512/mt). This week, the base prices of the Spanish mills have not registered any major change compared to last week. However, some upward movements have been observed in the lowest base prices in the market. Imports, which have not been active for a long time, may gain pace in the upcoming period if the prices in the local Spanish market continue to rise.
