Prices move up in local Turkish rebar market

According to market sources, rebar prices in the local Turkish spot market have increased by TRY 10-30/mt compared to November 23. On the other hand, prices on US dollar basis have risen by $2/mt on the lower end and declined by $5/mt on the upper end due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate in the same period. Market sources state that Turkish producers have adjusted their rebar prices upwards on Turkish lira basis due to the strengthening of the US dollar against the Turkish lira. However, demand for rebar in the local Turkish spot market has remained quiet during the past week.
