Brazilian producers are now negotiating rebar for export at $590/mt FOB conditions, for the CA-50 grade, against a range of $600/mt to $610/mt FOB over the last three weeks, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

In October, ArcelorMittal exported 18,200 mt of rebar in average at $593/mt, while Gerdau exported 5,800 mt at $595/mt, both FOB conditions, with price deals probably closed in August.

With the exception of 300 mt shipped by Gerdau to Angola, all the Brazilian exports of rebar in October were destined to South American countries.
