Today, December 11, most Turkish mills have closed their wire rod sales in the afternoon. Local wire rod prices have increased by $25-35/mt since Tuesday, December 8, amid costlier scrap and limited availability in the local market. In addition, Icdas has closed its long product sales today. Sources report that Turkish mills will increase their wire rod prices on Monday, December 14, in line with the currency fluctuations and positive sentiment in the import scrap segment.
