Turkish producers’ domestic wire rod offer range has remained stable week on week, though prices in Turkey’s Izmir region have decreased by $10/mt on the lower end with the intention to boosting trading activity and since prices in the region were already higher as compared to other regions of Turkey. Having reported that demand in the local Turkish wire rod market has recovered slightly, market sources state that the production cuts implemented by some mills have caused a fall in wire rod supply. Meanwhile, Turkish mills’ domestic wire rod offers are still at $530-550/mt ex-works, remaining unchanged week on week.
