Local Turkish rebar spot prices remain unchanged

Turkish traders are finding it difficult to reduce their rebar inventory levels with demand in the local Turkish rebar market being at low levels and also due to the fall recorded in domestic billet quotations. Market sources report that large discounts are being offered to buyers who are serious about concluding purchases.

Today, July 18, Turkish mill Izmir Demir Celik has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices unchanged at TRY 2,695/mt ($473/mt) ex-works, while Icdas has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 20/mt to TRY 2,700/mt ($474/mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT.
