Rebar spot prices in Turkey have moved down today, October 31 due to the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar and weak demand. Today, October 31, Turkish mill Icdas has kept its 12-32 mm rebar prices at TRY 2,449/mt ($429/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik has decreased its 12-32 mm rebar prices by TRY 30/mt ($2/mt) at TRY 2,432/mt ($426 mt) ex-works, both excluding VAT. Meanwhile, market sources report that Turkish rebar mills are offering discounts of TRY 20-40/mt including VAT for serious buyers.
