Today, December 30, spot prices in the local Turkish rebar market have been cut by TRY 40-70/mt ($3-6/mt) due to currency fluctuations. As of today, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey have settled at TRY 5,500-5,600/mt or $634-646/mt ex-warehouse depending on the region.
Some local traders are giving special discounts to generate cash flow before the year ends.
Most mills in the Marmara region have today kept their rebar price levels at TRY 5,610-5,680/mt ($647-655/mt) ex-works.
