Today, March 19, domestic rebar spot prices in Turkey have decreased by another TRY 10-40/mt, with 12 mm rebar sales prices declining to TRY 3,080-3,170/mt ex-works, while prices on US dollar basis are down by another $5-9/mt.
Today, Turkish mill Icdas has increased its 12mm rebar prices by TRY 40/mt and is currently offering rebar at TRY 3,300/mt ($429/mt) ex-works, while Izmir Demir Celik(IDC) has kept its 12 mm rebar sales prices at TRY 3,250/mt ($422/mt) ex-works. IDC’s price on US dollar basis indicates a drop of another $4/mt. Sources report that local traders are offering good discounts for serious buyers, but most buyers are delaying new purchases.
