Today, June 7, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have fallen by TRY 50/mt ($2-3/mt) as compared to the end of last week. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,050-7,100/mt or $690-695/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Icdas has kept its rebar price at $700/mt (TRY 7,130/mt) ex-works, with its lira price down by TRY 50/mt. Other mills in the Marmara region have opened their official rebar sales at $700-710/mt, while an additional discount is available for serious buyers.
In the Izmir region, most mills are currently offering rebar at $700/mt ex-works at the current exchange rate.
In the Iskenderun region, one re-roller has opened its rebar sales at TRY 7,130/mt ($700/mt) ex-warehouse today.
Most local traders are in wait-and-see mode in order to gain a better understanding of the import scrap trend.
