During the last two weeks, Italian producers' rebar prices for their local market have remained stable at €385-395/mt ($424-435/mt) ex-works, following a very gradual decrease that had continued for some weeks. Local demand is still very weak but prices are supported by scrap prices and by the shortage of some product sizes because of recent significant tonnages shipped to Algeria.
