An Iskenderun-based Turkish mill has issued its official rebar price at TRY 27,000/mt ($556/mt) ex-works today, July 23, against the backdrop of the ongoing currency fluctuations, for an extended delivery period. The producer has kept its 6.5 mm SAE 1008 grade wire rod price unchanged at $585/mt ex-works, also for an extended delivery period. The exchange rate is taken as $1 = TRY 40.45 as the mill itself has not indicated any specific exchange rate. This price indicates a rise of TRY 250/mt ($12/mt) compared to its previous price list date at Tuesday, June 10.
Sources report the workable rebar price in the Iskenderun region is at around TRY 26,700/mt ($550/mt) ex-works and even close to $540/mt ex-works, for serious buyers only.
