Greek rebar producers are still receiving low demand from the international markets, even though they have accepted losses in their own margins amid increased production costs caused by higher global scrap quotations. Market sources state that some Greek mills will start maintenance works at the beginning of December, and so demand for Greek rebar is expected to accelerate in the coming period against the backdrop of the anticipated tightness of supply.

Meanwhile, Greek rebar export prices have moved sideways week on week at €500-510/mt ($575-587/mt) FOB.
