In the German rebar market, prices have been stable for the past two weeks and demand has remained sufficient. Local prices are at €470-490/mt ex-works since the beginning of November. Market players are happy with the current demand and price levels. It is expected that the current market situation will continue at least until the Christmas holiday. "We have a stable market in terms of demand and prices and this stability protects the local trade. Despite the negative effects of the second wave of Covid-19, we have not seen any decline in trade levels. On the contrary, most companies want to finish their projects early," a trader told SteelOrbis.

On the export side, demand has remained low due to current export price levels. German exporters continue to offer €460-465/mt CPT to Austria and Poland for November-December deliveries, but buyers still think the price levels are high because of the lower price and demand levels in their local market.
