Turkish rebar export offers have softened after the Ramadan Holiday. Even though decreases in scrap prices may seem to be the main reason for the softening of rebar prices, the stagnancy in European markets, weak demand for ex-Turkey rebar offers in the Middle East and the eagerness of mills to fill their order books for October shipments are the real factors behind this price decline.
Ex-Turkey rebar offers, which decreased to the level of $625-630/mt FOB last week, have softened further by $5/mt since last week to $620-625/mt FOB.
