Domestic rebar prices in Turkey increase further

The upward movement recorded in domestic rebar prices in Turkey towards the end of last week has continued today, July 18. Towards the end of last week, domestic rebar prices in Turkey's Marmara, Izmir and Iskenderun regions had increased, while in Karabuk rebar prices had remained stable. Today, it is observed that domestic rebar quotations in Karabuk have also moved up. On the other hand, demand in the local Turkish rebar market has remained weak due to the ongoing political tension in the country. Meanwhile, due to currency fluctuations prices in the local Turkish rebar market have decreased by $4-13/mt on US dollar basis compared to price levels on July 14.
