It is observed that both demand in the local Turkish rebar market has declined during the past week, with prices softening slightly. According to market sources, buyers’ domestic rebar purchases from local steel producers have been slow for some time now due to the rapid rise seen in domestic rebar quotations in Turkey. Traders are now concluding sales from their current inventories. Meanwhile, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have declined by TRY 10-20/mt compared to price levels recorded on July 10, except of Turkey’s Karabuk region where prices have moved sideways on Turkish lira basis.
