It is observed that demand in the local Turkish rebar market is at low levels as buyers expect the sharp downward movement seen in the market over the past two weeks to continue.
Having reduced their domestic rebar offers on Friday (Sept. 29) despite the depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar, traders in the local Turkish rebar market have once again cut their domestic rebar prices today, October 2, in line with the downward price revisions announced by Turkish steel producers. As a result, domestic rebar prices in Turkey have declined by TRY 50-90/mt compared to price levels recorded on September 28.
