During the past week, domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have moved sideways, while demand in the local Turkish wire rod market has remained at low levels. Market sources believe that buyers will resume their wire rod purchases after the Feast of Sacrifice in September. Meanwhile, buyers in the local Turkish wire rod market are still only concluding deals in line with their needs amid the ongoing political tension in the country and due to the fluctuations seen in the Turkish lira-US dollar exchange rate.
