In the Bulgarian domestic market, rebar prices have increased by BGN 10/mt ($7/mt) as compared to early this week due to better weather conditions, rising to BGN 1,010-1,020/mt ($687-694/mt) CPT on actual weight basis, exclusive of 20 percent VAT. Prices had already risen by BGN 10/mt ($7/mt) early this week as compared to last week.

In the meantime, no rebar offers have been heard from Romania to Bulgaria lately and it is reported that the iron and steel trade between Bulgaria and Romania has been hit by the continuing snowy and cold weather in Romania.
