After following a pattern of oscillation over the last few weeks, the reference price range for the export of rebar by Brazilian producers to South American countries is now $530/mt to $540/mt, against $540/mt to $550/mt last week, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, a local market source told SteelOrbis.

The source mentioned that reduced demand from South American countries and a lackluster domestic housing sector are negatively affecting prices, which could be further reduced over the coming weeks.
