Brazilian rebar export offers stable to South American countries

The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is currently $800/mt, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries, stable from two weeks ago.

Local sources have also mentioned offers at $775/mt, under the same conditions, maintaining information about a limited volume available for export, with focus in the domestic market.

In the Brazilian domestic market, rebar remains offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 6,838/mt ($1,305/mt), full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s Southeast and South regions, stable in BRL from two weeks ago, ex-works. For the North and Northeastern regions, prices are reportedly BRL 70/mt higher, under the same conditions.
